Bridge production fills that gap with printed parts you can genuinely sell, so the business keeps moving while the tooling is being cut.

Materials for this work

PLA

Display pieces, models and indoor parts where crisp detail and colour matter more than heat resistance.

PETG

The general-purpose workhorse — tougher than PLA, handles moisture and moderate heat, good for functional parts.

ASA

Outdoor and vehicle parts. UV-stable and weather-resistant, so it will not go brittle or fade in sunlight.

TPU

Flexible parts — gaskets, bumpers, grips, protective sleeves and anything that needs to bend or absorb impact.

Are printed parts good enough to actually sell?

For plenty of products, yes — printed parts are sold as finished goods every day. It depends on the part: a functional bracket or enclosure is straightforward, a highly cosmetic surface needs more discussion. We will tell you which one yours is before you commit, not after.

How does the cost compare to injection moulding?

Printing costs more per part and nothing up front; moulding costs less per part after a large up-front bill. At low volumes printing usually wins outright, and the crossover point depends on the part. Send us the design and quantity and we will be straight with you about where yours sits.

Can the printed version match the moulded one?

It can be close in form and function, but it is a different process and will not be identical in surface finish or internal structure. We aim for a part that does the same job and looks right for the same customer, and we are specific about the differences before you commit.

What if the design changes while we are bridging?

That is largely the point. There is no tooling to modify, so a revision means a new file and a fresh first article. Bridging is often how a design gets its last real-world revision before it is frozen for a mould.
